Three men, three dreams. It’s 1976 in Flint, Michigan. Jackie Moon’s American Basketball Association team languishes in last place, with few fans in the seats. Jackie dreams of a merger with the NBA. A tough-minded point guard named Monix is at the end of his career; he’s played on the champion Celtics but accepts a trade to Flint to be close to Lynn, the love of his life. Clarence “Coffee” Brown dreams of stardom: he’s the Tropics’ best player, but he’s a hotdog who doesn’t value teamwork. When the trio learns that a merger is in the works that won’t include the Tropics, they pull the team together to try to achieve the impossible. Can dreams come true in Flint?

OK. The most importantopening part of the review – the pretty. Alas, there is a severe lack of it here. Seriously – I could not find one piece of totty and for me that’s something….

Onto the film. So I LOVE Will Ferrel – absolutely do cuz he’s a really funny fucker. I love the Frat Pack films and Will never fails to make me laugh – there’s just something about him! So imagine my disappointment when this film turned out to be..well… a bit shit.

Ferrel’s done sports before – the genius ‘Talladega Nights’ and very funny ‘Blades Of Glory’. So my anticipation was high for this but I just found it rather boring. There is the odd chuckleworthy moment – the stand out scene being when the team decide to scare their rivals by wearing eyeliner onto the court

Also could the BEST EVER insult to a referee be:

” Suck my cock! I’ll murder your family! “

Yes. Yes I think it could be – especially when said referee is a man of the cloth….

Overall though, this film just made me go wanna dig out my other Frat Pack films. Highly disappointing when you remember that this is the man who bought us the epic epicness that is ‘Anchorman’
